Interact Latam visits Cooperativa Atuntaqui

At the end of September, the Interact Latam team took advantage of their trip to Ecuador to visit Cooperativa Atuntaqui, located in the city of Atuntaqui, Ecuador.

The Cooperative has been part of Interact’s client portfolio for a year and a half, and they are currently implementing the 3P’s Solution, starting with Process Management, which was completed in April of this year, and moving forward with the next stages of implementing SA Governance Manager and SA Project Manager.

The purpose of the visit was to identify the next phases of the project and joint activities, as well as to meet in person and reinforce the commitment of Interact and its local partner, InfoQuality, to the project’s objectives.

Cooperativa Atuntaqui is at the forefront of Ecuador’s National Cooperative System, demonstrating throughout its history values such as honesty, trust, solvency, seriousness, and social responsibility in service of all its members and clients.

Its continuous development has earned it various recognitions, including an “AA+” risk rating, positioning the Cooperative as one of the largest and most solid in the country.

It currently operates 13 branches across the provinces of Carchi, Imbabura, Pichincha, Tungurahua, and Portoviejo, offering services such as Consumer Credit, Sales Credit, Agricultural Credit, Microcredit, and more.

About the Project

Interact and the Atuntaqui Cooperative met at a BPM Hackathon in 2023 and have since shared experiences and challenges in Process Management.

Internally, the Cooperative faced a significant challenge with a high demand for internal and external requests, as well as a process that was not always followed, resulting in considerable rework and a lack of time for analysis.

“It was an interesting challenge to confront and build the solution together,” highlights Iván Lasso, Coordinator of Interact Latam.

During the initial implementation project, David Agreda, a consultant at Interact, led the work of gathering data, analysis, and process automation alongside Boris from InfoQuality and the Command Team designated internally by Atuntaqui.

“This work later extended to the hiring of the 3P’s solution, allowing for alignment of operations with the tactical and strategic levels of the Cooperative,” concludes Iván.
